Butler to play Independence on campus Nov.7

Butler High will not move its high school football game with Independence this year.

The Bulldogs, whose stadium seats 2,500, moved games with Mallard Creek and Richmond Senior earlier this year to Providence. Providence sits 6,000 and presumably could handle the larger crowds.

Butler officials have decided to keep the Independence rivalry game on campus.

Tickets for this game will be pre-sale only and will be sold on Butler and Independence campuses from 10:30 am to 1 pm on Tuesday Nov.  4t, Wednesday Nov. 5 and Thursday Nov. 6 -- or until tickets are sold-out.

Ticket sales are limited to 2,500 with a maximum number of tickets allowed per person to be determined by each schoolNo tickets will be sold on game day and no one will be admitted on the Butler campus that night without a ticket.

Senior citizens, children under 6 and CMS employees normally admitted free should come to the Butler or Independence campus during the designated pre-sale hours to pick-up a complimentary ticket while the complimentary ticket allotment lasts.

A CMS employee with a complimentary ticket must present their ticket and their CMS ID on game night.
No one will be allowed on the Butler campus on game night without a pre-sale or complimentary ticket in hand.  Parking lots will open at 5 pm and gates will open at 6. Car-pooling is encouraged.
