UP, Ardrey Kell boys: 3-0 after come-from-behind win over Myers Park.

Friday's Top Performers

Meghan Fleury, Providence girls: 12 points, 20 rebounds in a 52-16 win over East Meck. It was Providence's first win of the season

Gabe Logan, Freedom: Career-high 25 points in a 60-33 season-opening win over Draughn. Teammate Jeron Hemphill added 18 points

Isaiah Blackmon, West Charlotte: 26 points in a 100-54 win over West Meck.

Kelsi Mahoney, Robinson girls: 17 points, 16 rebounds in 65-26 win over Cox Mill.

Trey Phills, Charlotte Christian: 20 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists, 5 steals in 63-45 win over Metrolina Christian (1-5). Charlotte Christian (1-1) plays in the Bahamas over Thanksgiving. Adam Durden had 12 points for the Knights.

Sean Bryant, Jack Shanahan, Country Day: Combined for 33 points in a 71-68 win over Westminster Catawba.

Charlotte United Christian 67, Comenius 54: Charlotte United, coached by former Charlotte 49ers guard Mitchell Baldwell, got out to a 32-19 lead at haltime and cruised home. Junior Michael Baez led the Warriors with 17 points. Stefan Kostic had 13 and Stephen Addams had 11. Charlotte United is 4-3.

Charlotte Latin 81, Cuthbertson 58: Charlotte Latin scored 27 points in the first quarter and 45 more in the second half of the easy win. Rusty Reigel led the Hawks with 14 points. Latin is 2-1. Cuthbertson dipped to 0-2.

West Charlotte girls 64, West Meck 54: West Charlotte (2-0) won a tight game against a big rival at home Friday in front of a sold-out crowd. The Lions got 24 points, 4 rebounds, 3 blocks, 2 steals and 2 assists from guard Rachel Porter. Teneithia Stewart had 10 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals. West Mecklenburg got 23 points from T'Niyah James.

“We played well and I thought we shot the ball pretty good," Lions coach Reggie Mobley said. "I’m a defensive-minded coach and I thought we could've defended better, but we're shooting the ball well now and we're getting some pretty balanced scoring."

West Charlotte is scheduled to play Harding Dec. 3 at West Charlotte. The game will likely be moved to a new venue and new date.

Ardrey Kell 65, Myers Park 57 OT: The Knights were down nine points with three minutes to play. Devin Cooper scored nine points in the fourth quarter and Steven Santa Ana hit a 3-point shot to force overtime. In OT, Markel Pollard (13 points) sealed the Knights win from the free throw line. Austin Dasent led Myers Park with 20 points.

West Charlotte 100, West Meck 54: West Charlotte led 42-25 at halftime and cruised in the boys game. Isaiah Blackmon (26 points), Simon Carter (16) and Jadarius McCullough (13) were among four Lions players in double figures. Austin Harris was the fourth. He finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. Carter had 11 rebounds and 3 assists.

Gaston Day 81, Grace Academy 53: Gaston Day (4-1) trailed 6-4 after the first quarter but busted the game open with a 26-14 second quarter. Luke Lawson and Rob Hobson led Grace (1-2) with 14 points each. Gaston Day got 22 points from Adam Koziol and 18 from Trevor Anderson.

Cannon 68, Queens Grant 48: Cannon got double figure scoring from Jonathan Green (15 points), Phillip Jewel (14) and Ryan Marks (11) to improve to 5-0 for the season. Cannon will face Durham Academy in the championship game of the Cannon Classic Saturday at 3:30. Queens Grant is 0-3. Duane Goodman led Queens Grant with 13.

31: Rebounds for West Charlotte girls star Jessica Gaston in two games.

18-2: Hopewell led East Gaston by 16 points after the first quarter en route to an easy 50-17 win. Shaniah Haynes led Hopewell with 10 points
