W. Charlotte's Kennedy Meeks to play in Jordan Brand Classic Saturday

Ten days after playing in one nationally televised high school All-America game, West Charlotte’s Kennedy Meeks will play in another.

Meeks will play for the East team in the 2013 Jordan Brand Classic. The game will be played Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. ESPN2 will broadcast the game live.

For the past two seasons, the Jordan Brand game, named for Charlotte Bobcats owner Michael Jordan, was played in Charlotte.

Meeks is the only N.C. player on either roster and will be joined on the East team by Kentucky recruits Julius Randle and Andrew and Aaron Harrison.

Also on the East roster is the nation’s consensus No. 1 player Andrew Wiggins, who is considering Florida State, Kansas, Kentucky and North Carolina.

Duke has two recruits on the West team: McDonald’s All-Americans Matt Jones and Jabari Parker.
