Charlotte Observer reporter Corey Inscoe (@coreyinscoe) reports that the N.C. Independent Schools' Athletic Association is ready to return Charlotte's United Faith Christian to playoff eligiblity for basketball.
The United Faith Christian Academy boys' basketball team is on track to be eligible for next year's N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association state tournament, according to NCISAA Executive Director Chuck Carter.
Carter updated the NCISAA Board of Directors on United Faith's status during an April 10 meeting in Greensboro.
The team was suspended from the playoffs and put on probation for two years because of a recruiting violation in 2011. The violation stemmed from an email sent by former headmaster Dr. Joe Siragusa to what he said were guardians of the school's several international basketball players.
