Former North Carolina women’s basketball player Charisse Mapp is the new girls basketball coach at Charlotte Latin.
Mapp, who played for the Tar Heels in the late ‘80s, takes over for Deb Savino, who is moving into an adminstrative role in the Latin athletics department. Savino will continue as Latin’s varsity field hockey coach.
Mapp, who got her undergraduate degree from UNC and a masters in education from Temple, is a 20-year college coaching veteran. She was formerly head coach at Salisbury University and also held assistant positions at Temple, East Carolina, Princeton and N.C. State.
Mapp was an assistant at Latin last season and was the school’s junior varsity coach.

Can we not spell check the first paragraph? Or just proofread? As a former journalist, I know there is a big difference between being overworked and being lazy.
What's wrong with it Josh? If you're referring to women's vs girls, it's correct.
