What is Charlotte,Football?

There is no Charlotte University or Univerity of Charlotte private universities.

Apparently they must mean the old defunct 50 year private Charlotte Junior College aka public state owned UNC-Charlotte although there is no logical connection between the two whatsoever.

95% of UNCCers since it opened 1965 know it as UNC-Charlotte or just UNCC.

Get it right next time ...

we get it, you're an expert on the word Charlotte and how it pertains to education and athletics.....now STFU

95 % of the alumni that still support the athletics and the school know and prefer The name Charlotte. You must not be involved with the university any more.

Anon 2:41: Yes, the school legal name is University of North Carolina at Charlotte or UNCC. But, back in 2000, the athletic dept change in their name to go by just "Charlotte"

Can you "UNCCers" find anything else to get upset about? No matter what the paper refers to you as, somebody is going to get their panties in a bunch. What a bunch of cry babies! Just be glad you finally have football and shut up!

And the Charlotte 49er troll is back! What a fascinating life he or she must have to go on a website and troll about Charlotte. This is the same douche that said there would never be Charlotte football, ever. Now "just be glad we finally have football".

Go CHARLOTTE 49ers!!! Great signing class!!
