Davidson Day's Aaron Seward breaks 1 week old receiving record that was 30 years old

Aaron Seward of Davidson Day had a big receiving night at Charlotte Latin Friday. He broke a one-week old receiving record that, before last week, had stood 30 years.

Seward caught eight passes for 306 yards and five touchdowns in a 49-28 win over Charlotte Latin. Independence’s Red Springs had held the single-game county receiving record since 1982, when he played with All-American quarterback Mark Maye.

But last week, South Meck receiver C.J. Thompson had 303 yards receiving against Myers Park. Thompson’s mark lasted one week.

Seward’s five touchdown catches rank second in county history, a mark he shares with several other players.

I do the stats for Latin. Reviewed the film and he only had 241 yds. Where do they come up with these numbers? Does the QBs dad do the stats too?

I'd be a lot more impressed if any of these Davidson Day stats came against good teams or one of the big private schools which isn't having their worst team in 20+ years.

Monday I will let Arch know how classy the stat keeper is.

I'm a Latin alum. I assume the stat keeper post was written by a "hater" and not a member of the Latin community. If so,shame on you. You realize the coach is a Latin grad? We're better then that. Take your issue up with Langston.
