Butler moves Independence football game to Memorial Stadium Oct. 26

Butler High athletics director Courtney Paschal said the school has moved its home football game with Independence to Memorial Stadium Oct. 26.

Butler is No. 1 in the Observer’s Sweet 16 and ranked in nearly every national poll. Independence is tied with Butler atop the Southwestern 4A conference standings. If both teams continue winning -- and each will be favored in its games until Oct. 26 -- they will play for the outright Southwestern 4A conference title.

Butler’s field seats about 2,500 fans and the game is expected to draw more than the stadium can hold. Memorial Stadium seats about 17,000.

I don't know why you guys report on this every other year. Butler has never had enough seats to play a big game at home. Just saying its old news.
