Mallard Creek OL DJ Humphries commits to Florida

Mallard Creek offensive lineman D.J. Humphries, a 6-foot-6, 280-pound rising senior, committed to Florida Friday.

Humphries announced his commitment during a 7 p.m. ceremony at school. Humphries is the top recruit in North Carolina, ranked No. 3 overall nationally by rivals.com and No. 7 by ESPN.

Humphries finalists were: Clemson, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee. Humphries, a B student, will graduate from Mallard Creek in December and enroll in Gainesville in January.
