Illegal bats cost South Robeson in title game

South Robeson High had nine baseball bats declared illegal before a game against East Columbus that decided the conference championship this week, the Robesonian reported.

That left South Robeson with one legal bat for the game, which it lost 11-2.

All the bats were composite, as are all the 216 bats on the list of those that don't meet legal specifications. Rules were changed this season to reduce trampoline effect of composite bats.

South Robeson had used most of the bats all season.

Is amazing what some teams and some baseball players are able to do just to win a game, I mean, where is the fair play? does it still exist? this siuation is a real shame!
