South Pointe's Clowney is cover boy for ESPN the Magazine

With high school football recruiting signing day coming up next week, ESPN The Magazine is featuring Rock Hill South Pointe star Jadeveon Clowney on its cover this week. Clowney is the near-consensus No. 1 high school prospect in the country. He's uncommitted for college.

Nice to see ESPN backing off the gas after the Harrison Barnes hype.

Dude is probably 25 right now. I never believe that these "kids" get to the point of incredible strength, speed, etc...light years ahead of anyone else his age. Something's up.

Regardless, his family will charge a steep price.

He'll have his chance to prove himself, whether it's at South Carolina or Alabama. If he's a level headed kid, he could grow into a great player. At some point, when you're that young, you get a realtiy check, lets hope he gets it from someone close, or else he'll get it from someone without his best interest in mind, either on the field or off.

Watching his highlight tape, one play that amazed me and had my jaw dropping was he made a tackle down field that was a 45 yard catch...meaning he ran from the Dline all they way to catch a WR...you don't see that everyday lol
