Area's first basketball highlight show debuts tonight

After more than 25 years of weekly highlight football shows in town, WCNC is going to start a basketball show.

WCNC (Channel 36) is the local NBC affiliate. It will bring back its popular "Friday Night Frenzy" show tonight during the 11 p.m. newscast, providing five minutes of basketball and other winter sports highlights.

It's not long, but it's a start. If enough viewers tune in, who knows, maybe the program expands and other stations follow suit. I just hope WCNC gives it time to catch on.

Just another Friday night sports show where Langston can ride the Butler Bulldog train. I have NEVER seen such a suck up as Langston is to Butler.

Langston gives the best teams in the area the most coverage, the same as every other media outlet in the country does for its local teams.

If you don't like how much coverage Butler gets, then maybe your school should dedicate themselves to excellence and strive to raise their games to a relevant level worthy of media attention.

Until then, quit whining about how you don't stack up.

Why are you hating on Butler. "Jealousy?"

Believe me that's not the case, langston did the same thing for indy all those years, he isn't all about the bulldogs bc when the girls stop playing he leaves, its just about who the best team is at the time
