Basketball coaches clinic at Providence Day Saturday

ESPN's Jay Bilas and former NBA coach Paul Silas are among the speakers for the first Providence Day School Basketball Coaches Clinic Saturday.

The clinic is open to all men's and women's college, high school, middle school, youth and AAU coaches. It will run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m at the Mosack Athletic Center at Providence Day.

Here is the schedule:

9:00 am Stephen Miss - Head Men's Basketball Coach at Belmont Abbey
Topic – Balanced Court, High Post Offense

10:00 am Kellie Harper - Head Women's Basketball Coach at NC State
Topic – 10 Counters for Common Quick Hitters

11:00 am Al Brown - Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Duke
Topic – Full-court Pressure Defenses

1:00 pm Mike Young - Head Men's Basketball Coach at Wofford College
Topic – Individual Player Work-outs

2:00 pm Brad Brownell - Head Men's Basketball Coach at Clemson
Topic – Zone Offenses

4:00 pm Paul Silas - former NBA player for the Boston Celtics and coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Charlotte/New Orleans Hornets
Topic – Executing the Pick ‘N Roll

5:00 pm Jay Bilas - lead basketball analyst for ESPN
Topic – The Best Practice Drills I’ve Seen This Year
