Butler, Mallard Creek, Northwestern in national top 100 poll

Mallard Creek just earned its first national ranking.

The Mavericks, who have outscored opponents 161-6 this season, are No. 3 in the Observer Sweet 16 poll and today moved to No. 71 in the Rivals.com national poll.

Mallard Creek is off this week and plays on the road at S.C. 3A power Chester, Sept. 17 at 8 p.m.

Rock Hill Northwestern is No. 21, six spots behind S.C. rival Dorman. Butler is No. 30.

Richmond Senior, which plays Butler at Memorial Stadium Saturday, is No. 80.

This is great for Mallard Creek! The fans really need to get behind this team. The Chester game next week would be a good start. How about some noise makers...ex: air horns, etc! Go Mavs

Great for NC schools.....but as a MC Fan, it's really great....Yeah, MC fans should definately travel down south with as much noise to show support!!!!!!!!!!GO MAVS!!!!

It's nice to see some other local team besides Independence ranked nationally. This goes to show that this city does indeed have talent. Great job Mallard Creek!!!
