Paschal replaces Boone as Butler AD

Courtney Paschal is the new athletics director at Butler High. She replaces Jim Boone, who resigned, affective June 30. Boone plans to remain at the school as a social studies teacher.

Paschal, 40, is from Reidsville and attended Rockingham County High, where she played volleyball, basketball and softball. She was all-conference in softball. Paschal graduated from UNC-Greensboro in 1992 with a degree exercise and sports science. After college, she was head athletic trainer at Raleigh Broughton from 1993-2002.

Paschal has been head athletic trainer at Butler since the fall of 2002.

The question is, will she stop Newsome from recruiting. CMS needs to know he is handing out equipment and holding practices for players who are going to Indy and Rocky River. He also has had more than 20 players at practice (illegal if a football is being used). Coach Newsome, do not encourage players to move.
