The Charlotte Christian School varsity men’s basketball team has been selected as one of eight high school teams to participate in the second annual ESPN RISE National High School Invitational (NHSI). The tournament will take place April 1-2, 2010 at Coppin State University in Baltimore, Md. The No. 7 Charlotte Christian Knights will face 2009 champions, No. 2 seed Findlay Prep in the first round of play on Thursday, April 1 at 8 p.m., televised on ESPNU.
The NHSI Tournament will feature some of the country’s top boys and girls’ high school basketball teams including ESPNU 100 and ESPNU Super 60 ranked players.
“We are very excited about our selection to the ESPN national high school tournament,” said Shonn Brown, varsity men’s basketball coach. “This is a great blessing for our community, school, and basketball program at Charlotte Christian. We are thankful for the opportunity to compete on a national stage and at the highest level of high school basketball. I am proud of the hard work of our young men and we give God all the glory.”
