UNC is off Butler QB LeMay's list

Butler High quarterback Christian LeMay has updated his top 10 list of college favorites -- and that list no longer includes North Carolina.

LeMay, who was named MaxPreps national junior offensive player of the year, has 26 official college offers. His father, Stacey, told the Observer that his son's top 10 schools are Florida, Georgia, Clemson, Alabama, Miami, Texas A&M, LSU, Notre Dame, Auburn and Tennessee. LeMay was scheduled to appear on ESPNU Wednesday afternoon to discuss his recruitment.

Stacey LeMay said the decision to remove North Carolina from the top 10 had nothing to do with the Tar Heels getting a commitment from another top national quarterback, Everett Golson of Myrtle Beach.

Stacey LeMay said his son planned to narrow his list from 10 to five by June, then from five to three by July. He said Christian would likely name an overall leader before the 2010 high school season began. He would then make an official commitment after the college season regular-season ends.

"All things being equal," Stacey LeMay said, "the leader (named this fall) will be the selection as long as all things remain the same."

Stacey Lemay is the little league parent from H_ ll. He should just either get paid as a part time reporter at the Observer or rent billboard space to report on his son's latest happenings.

"Has nothing to do with another 4 star quarterback committing early to the Heels". He has got to be kidding or just assumes we are all dumb. Most of the teams on his list have no 4 star or higher on the books for 2011 and has a better chance to play - depending upon upper classmen already playing. My best guess is Clemson, GA and FL.

Stacey is just living the dream...To bad it's just not his on dream...I coach AAU and see this in most parents who didn't have the sames chances and like being the agent...

Thank you for keeping us updated on this young mans progress. He handled himself very well on ESPNU last Night. He is a class act and so is the family. Any Father would love to have such a quality young man. Keep setting the example LeMay's. You are doing a great job.

as a UNC fan I am disappointed but I am more disappointed in the jabs at his Father. He is his parent and should be involved with the whole process.Until proven otherwise, kudos to the Dad for being there for him.

This kid sounds like a 5 start prima donna and I blame that more on the father than the kid. I don't he will have any ACC team on his final list so UNC was smart to go ahead and lock up Golson. I have seen Golson and he looks like another Armanti Edwards. This kid better produce in college or he is going really get slammed for all of his self hype.

Been Following this young man's progress and read this post. Sounds like comments from a few Jealous students that did not have similar support from their Father or Fathers who have sons which did not occomplish as many accolades despite their efforts. That's Unfortunate. Hope your life becomes more successfull so that you can learn to celebrate with the success of others.
