West Mecklenburg has promoted defensive coordinator Jeffrey Caldwell, a Myers Park graduate, to head coach.
Caldwell replaces Mark Harman, who was the Hawks head coach for the past two seasons.
Caldwell was on staff for one year. Prior to that he was an assistant coach Shiloh (GA) High. This is his first head football job. He was head girls track coach at Shiloh. Caldwell was also an assistant at West Charlotte and Olympic under former head coach Maurice Flowers.
He was also an assistant at Myers Park and South Mecklenburg.
