West Charlotte shocks Vance, Myers Park shocks Hopewell; other playoff results

West Charlotte's boys limited to Vance to 1-for-13 shooting in the third quarter and opened up a huge lead en route to a 66-47 win.

The Lions, who got 21 from JT Terrell, will play Watauga Friday in a sectional final. Watauga beat Garinger Friday.

The big upset of the night was Myers Park, a wild card into the playoffs, beating I-MECK regular-season champ Hopewell 63-53 at Hopewell Friday. Myers Park made 18-of-20 free throws in the fourth quarter.

The Mustangs ran a Princeton offense all game and played a perfect game. Myers Park will play at Lake Norman in Friday's sectional championship game.

No shock really that West Charlotte would beat Vance. West Charlotte has peaked at the right time and Coach Terry has FINALLY start to just let them play without him interfering. They would have had a better regular season if COACH would have used this method a lot sooner. But Hopewell on the other hand, just goes to show you that you can't expect to beat team just because of the name on the front of your jersey.

Dub C has an excellent team. Granted, Coach had to realize this and once he did the team jelled thus the beginning of a new power house.
Most believed that without JT the dance would have been over a while back. Remember, we saw that team pull together for three games after he lost the privilege to play. With him back, he values the playing time and has respected all efforts of his team mates. Go all the way Dub-C.
