Berry goes for Rocky River boys and girls titles tonight

Berry High, which dropped to 2A this season and dropped out of a Mecklenburg County conference, will play for boys and girls championships tonight in the Rocky River tournament at Piedmont High in Unionville.

Berry's girls have won 16 straight games and haven't lost since Dec. 28. The Cardinals will play North Stanly, which has won 10 straight since losing to Berry in January.

The girls game tips at 6 p.m.

The boys game feature No. 1 seeded Monroe against No. 2 seed Berry in the tournament final.

The boys game starts at 7:30 p.m.
