Vance stops skid, beats West Charlotte

Vance's boys stopped a mini-slump Friday and stopped West Charlotte 62-51 at home. Sophomore Braxton Ogbueze had 18 for the Cougars. Corey Farmer had 12 and point guard Marquis Rankin had 10.

Jacoby Davis had 20 for West Charlotte. J.T. Terrell had 14 points but appeared frustrated by the physical defense of Vance.

Terrell got three fouls in the first half and his fourth foul in the third quarter.

Rankin guarded him 80 percent of the time while Wake Forest coach Dino Gaudio was watching Terrell, who has signed with the Deacons. Wake Forest is also recruiting Rankin, a junior.

Ranking is a top 3 point guard in North Carolina. I'm not surprised he locked J.T. down. Can't wait to see who he signs with.
