South Mecklenburg running back Larry Kennedy III has committed to the University of Charleston in West Virginia, his father, Larry Jr., said.
Kennedy, an all-conference pick in the Southwestern 4A, conference, rushed 135 times for 1,289 yards this season. He caught 21 passes for 480 yards.
