WONDER, WONDER: Travis Riley ran for 208 yards and four touchdowns on 19 carries as Kannapolis Brown beat Hickory Ridge 38-13...Brian Baltimore ran for 139 yards and two scores for Hickory Ridge.

SHUTOUT: East Meck beat Ardrey Kell 28-0 behind three second-half interceptions, Ronald Howard (146 rushing yards) and Elgin Counts (98 rushing yards and two touchdowns).

WORTH THE BUS RIDE:
Sam Spence threw two touchdown passes and ran for a score in Charlotte Latin’s 31-7 victory against North Cross (Va.) in Roanoke on Friday.
Spence’s scoring passes were to Davis Austin and Paul Paschal, as Charlotte Latin (8-1) ended North Cross’ six-game winning streak. The Raiders fell to 6-2. Jalen Ross had a rushing touchdown for Latin and Sam Meyers added a field goal.

DOUBLE TROUBLE: East Meck's Ronald Howard has run for 107 yards, and backfield mate Elgin Counts (98 yards) has scoring runs of 62 and nine yards against Ardrey Kell, beginning of the fourth quarter.

LIFE OF RILEY: Kannapolis Brown's Travis Riley has three touchdowns, and 127 yards rushing, in the first half against Hickory Ridge...Brian Baltimore ran for Hickory Ridge's score, and has 14 carries for 91 yards at half.

BIG ARM: Charlotte Country Day's Morgan Roberts has thrown for 125 yards and a touchdown in the first half against Providence Day.

NO POINTS: East Meck and Ardrey Kell, scoreless at halftime, each stopped the other inside its' 5-yard line....East Meck's Ron Howard has 75 rushing yards, and Ardrey Kell's Justus Pickett has 28.

FAST START: Kannapolis Brown's Travis Riley has five carries for 117 yards and two touchdowns in the first quarter.

Providence's loss to Butler was divine providence.

Kannapolis didn't play Marvin Ridge....they played Hickory Ridge.

Marvin Ridge beat Anson Co. and beat them...they need to be back in the Sweet 16.
