Lake Norman High's Harrison Honeycutt achieved All-American honors at the USA Wrestling High School National Championship in Fargo, N.D.
Honeycutt finished fifth in the Greco-style division's 215-pound class.
After losing in the first round, Honeycutt rallied to win six straight matches to reach the medal round. He finished 7-3 in the tournament, including victories against three state finalists, a two-time state champion and a Senior Nationals finalist.
In 2008, Honeycutt earned All-American honors in the Cadet (freshman/sophomore) division, and has become one of a handful of N.C. wrestlers to repeat as an All-American.
Last winter, Honeycutt capped a 53-0 season by winning the N.C. 3A championship in the 189-pound division as a sophomore.
