Mike Bradley is new football coach at North Meck

Mike Bradley, the defensive coordinator at North Mecklenburg, has been promoted to head football coach, Vikings athletics director Leroy Holden told the Observer.

Bradley replaces Glen Padgett, who left North Meck to become head coach at N.C. 3A power Concord.

Bradley was head coach at Hopewell for four seasons, going 12-32. His last team at Hopewell, in 2004, was 2-9 and missed the playoffs.

At North Meck, Bradley inherits a team that is 52-35 since 2002. In that span, the Vikings have had two 10-win seasons. In school history, North has had four 10-win teams and the 2006 conference champion was North Meck’s first in more than 20 years.

If the winningest coach % wise in NM 57 yr history owning 2 of the 4 ten win seasons that includes coach Joe White when he came to CMS from his native Wilson NC as his 1st HC job before going to brand new Olympic in '68 plus you go to the playoffs 7 straight yrs, then perhaps more idiots like GP are needed.
