Northern Guilford AD, principal resign amid investigation

The principal and athletics director at Northern Guilford High in Greensboro resigned Friday in the midst of an ongoing investigation regarding high school athletics eligibility and other issues.

Three days after Guilford County Schools announced the resignations of North Guilford principal Joe Yeager, and North Guilford athletics director Derrell Force, the Greensboro News & Record reported Monday Guilford County Schools have uncovered e-mails that indicate school officials may have encouraged students outside Northern’s district to play there.

Northern Guilford’s boys basketball team finished 30-3 this season and won the N.C. High School Athletic Association 3-A boys basketball championship.

The team did not have any underclassmen and would be a heavy favorites to win again next year if the team returns intact.

"Busted what was going on at Indy."" Say what? After spending thousands and looking through thousands of emails, cell phone calls, interviews, etc., all CMS found out is that families were willing to move to Indy's district (or pretend to move) and play for the best coach in the state. Even with a stripped down team (due to the investigation guys like Holloman paniced and left) Indy thrashed everyone in CMS. Next year will be ugly, trust me.
