NBA legend "The Chief" headed to West Meck

Hall of Fame center Robert Parrish will present West Mecklenburg High with $1,000 on March 30 as part of the Get Fit by Finals rally.

The program, designed by Body By Milk, tries to reverse trends of inactivity and obesity among children.

The rally will be from 1-2 p.m. at West Mecklenburg, 7400 Tuckaseegee Road.

Parrish, nicknamed "The Chief" because of his stoic nature, in 1997 was named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA history.

Does getting fit now mean sucking down a bong's worth of smokey air? Wow, what is the world coming to when a self-professed druggy is a role model for children's health.

Wow.......I'm glad he's not perfect.....wouldn't want to listen to someone who hasn't learned a thing all his life because he didn't make not ONE mistake........Bush did coke....clinton smoked weed.....
At least this man is "self-professed", meaning he had the balls to at least admit he was wrong and tried to get some help.....I think Bush is gonna knock down a kilo when he gets to his TX Ranch...and we followed him for 8 years....LOL
